We all love Twitter for its ability to show us what is trending, but how is the social media site finding and posting the most recent and popular trends? Twitter’s ability to illustrate trends is based upon “tailored trends,” which means that each user will only see the trends that are associated with their particular location and popularity among their follower base.

If you are feeling creative, or uninspired by your direct surroundings and followers, you can easily gain access to what is trending in different communities. If you want to change your trend’s settings it’s as easy as clicking “Change” at the top of the trends box!
