Facebook’s Creator Studio Goes Mobile

Facebook’s Creator Studio has launched a mobile app to serve as an on-the-go companion. The Creator Studio app allows users to access insights, manage and schedule content, view notifications, communicate with their audience and switch between pages. Within the app, only content that has already been posted or scheduled can be managed. To upload posts or initiate messages, users will still need to use Creator Studio on their computer.

The app allows users to examine both overall page and post-level insights, retention, and distribution metrics in order see how content is performing, community reactions, and potential earnings. Insights that will be available on-the-go include:

  • 3 Second Views
  • 1 Minute Views
  • Average Minutes Viewed
  • Number of Followers
  • Number of Returning Viewers
  • Earnings
  • Total Engagement
  • Comments
  • Shares
  • Reactions

The app lets creators have the ability to toggle between accounts within the same session. This will be beneficial to business accounts managing multiple pages or users with a large following.

The Creator Studio app displays a new user interface and includes a similar feature set to the previous Creator app. Though it is not a direct replacement, there have been complaints surrounding the new app’s lack of an Instagram integration and inability to post new content. It is likely Facebook will incorporate more features as the app progresses.

The Creator Studio app is available to download for free from the iOS and Android app stores.
