Instagram and Vine continue the battle for users in the videography world as they roll out new additions and upgrades. For Instagram video this means having the ability to embed videos when using your online web browser. This will allow the user to copy an embed code and post it to their social media site of choice. Furthermore, the process protects the creator as the Instagram username is always linked with the video or photo.

The process to embed information from Instagram is very simple, but here is a quick tutorial! When you visit an Instagram photo or video page on your desktop web browser, there will be a new “share” button on the right side of your photo. Simply click the button to see the embed code, then copy the block of text it gives you and paste it into your blog, website or article. Lastly, once you select publish, the photo or video will appear!

Vine has also made progress as it has rolled out updates to make the application more seamless, as well as presenting users with the ability to “re-vine”. Just like “re-tweeting” works on Twitter, Vine has now given its’ users a way to share their favorite videos with their friends and followers!

Which video app are you using? What would you like to see happen next?
